Is the diving seasonal on Nusa Lembongan & when is the best time to visit?

The amazing waters of Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Penida offer year round diving, with great visibility, which is often in excess of 20m. Water temperatures are generally between 26–29’C, the exception being between July – September, when slightly cooler waters (sometimes as low as 20’C) bring in the Mola Mola! We can usually see manta rays all year at our two main sites. The rainy season starts around November and runs until March, but rainfall is significantly lower on Nusa Lembongan than in Bali, so even in the wet season, we have clear sunny days, with perfect diving conditions!

What level of experience do I need to have to dive the dive sites around  Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Penida?

The dives sites we have on offer cater for the full range of diver experience level. We have sheltered sites suitable for DSD (Discover Scuba Diver) right up to those which will excite the most advanced diver. See our Dive Sites page for full details. We pay close attention to tides so that we can dive when the current is weaker. We dive in small groups with a maximum of 4 divers to each guide and try to match groups according to level of certification & experience
